Today is Chinese New Year! Chinese New Year is based on the lunar calendar, so it has a different date every year. It is also based on the twelve animals of the zodiac, and today marks the beginning of the year of the horse, which is pretty close to a unicorn so I’ll take it. On behalf of the occasion, I’d like to take the time to wish you a happy new year with the following:
prosperity: Hopefully you prosper in things other than just finances, but a little extra cash wouldn’t hurt. Besides, you deserve it.
luck: If you’re like me and you don’t have any, make your own. Things will only happen if you make them happen. So if you want to be a millionaire, I suggest you invest in education, study your trivia, and try out for Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
success: It’s never too late to dust off those resolutions or make new ones! Start with easy things first so you can congratulate yourself and build your confidence. Well maybe you already have self-confidence, I don’t know. Or maybe that’s one of your goals! Either way, there’s a great website that I use to help track progress with goals both big and small.
happiness: Happiness is pretty great. Really take time this year to appreciate things that would usually go unnoticed, like the existence of cereal or maybe even your parents.
anything else you want (though happiness pretty much sums it up): It may be the year of the horse, but it’s also the year of y-o-u. I mean, horses got nothing on you. Sure they’re more majestic and coordinated and irresistible, but hay you can be all those things without the tail! Tails are pretty cool though.
